This unit was a replacement for one I purchased a year ago that quit working about 3 days after the warantee ran out- and I only used it a handful of times. The new fryer I bought was defective from the minute I took it out of the box, something was wrong with the electrical output and it caused it to blow the breaker within 3 minutes every attempt made to use it (most of the time it was within 10 seconds). I know it is not my electric as it is the identical model to the one I had that worked for a year but just incase I took it to my neighbors and it blew his breaker too. I called Aroma first hoping they would just send me a replacement plug or whatever could be causing the shortage and they told me it was NOT their unit it was my home. They were snippy with me when I told them I had another unit of theirs that worked fine until it died very prematurely in my book. As much as I liked the fact this product holds a lot of food (which I need for my huge family) I am not impressed with their customer service or the fact their units seem to be defective. The good thing is Amazon will take the return without any hassle and give me my money back. That makes it hurt a little less! ;) Comment | Permalink | (Report this)
