Fiesta Cobalt 830 5 Piece Place Setting
Product Review
The perfect set to kick off a Fiestaware collection, equip a college dorm room, or pair with other Fiestaware pieces for a larger set, this five-piece place setting from Fiestaware consists of a dinner plate, salad plate, bowl, 7.75-ounce cup, and saucer. Celebrated in the 1940s, '50s, and '60s for its streamlined art deco look and colorful glazes, Fiestaware is enjoying a remarkable comeback today. All pieces in this set have the signature Fiestaware rings and match Fiestaware pieces in sunflower yellow or other colors such as turquoise or juniper. With over 50 Fiestaware dinnerware and accessory pieces to choose from, you can build your collection over time starting with this one-person set. The 100 percent lead-free glaze is nonporous, so it won't absorb foods, and it's durable enough to withstand the microwave and dishwasher. Some stainless-steel flatware may leave marks on the plates, but these can be easily removed with a nonabrasive cleanser. --Emily Wolf Whats in the Box 1 place setting. Reader Reviews I absolutely love the colors and look of these dishes, and they are very heavy and seem very durable. We registered for cobalt, plum, cinnabar, and periwinkle settings for our wedding and just started using them 2 weeks ago when we returned from our honeymoon. We've been stacking them in the cupboard just like any dishes because they certainly looked like they could handle it, but yesterday I noticed that many of them are covered with scratches from being stacked! I can't believe it! They are deep enough that they can't be rubbed away and are really noticeable on my dark dishes. I'm so bummed; I didn't have any idea that stacking them would wreck them (never bothered any of my other dishes), and there weren't any special care instructions that came with the dishes. So while these are fantastic, I would take into consideration that they apparently destroy each other in the cupboard :( |
