This is a nice plate for serving sliced vegetables or fruit. Fried chicken as another reviewer noted. Look for the Fiestaware OVAL platter which is multi-use and holds a roast, whole chicken or small turkey. And whole fish like trout or a small salmon. This is better suited for a melody of fruits and vegetables. Own it in pastels.
